Rex Leroy Holtgrewe was born on January 28, 1913 in Hubbell, Nebraska and died on November 13, 2002. He married Evelyn Hauser on November 9, 1934. Rex and Evelyn operated a grocery store in Helvey, Nebraska when they were first married. They moved to Crete, Nebraska in 1941.
